DESCRIPTION:Our guest speaker\, Sue Burch\, will present by discussion\, power point\, and handouts on a variety of legal issues that arise for the widowed. \nSue was a district court judge in Guilford County from 2000 – 2020\, hearing primarily civil and family law cases. She also served as an Emergency Recall Judge for the state from 2021 until 2024. She holds both an undergraduate and law degree from Wake Forest University\, and received training at the National Judicial College in Nevada. Since retiring\, Judge Burch serves as a mediator\, arbitrator and trial consultant in Greensboro and surrounding counties. She is an avid photographer and videographer. After 24 years of listening to sad stories\, she’s intent now on telling happy ones. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease RSVP by Monday\, October 12th\, 2026  to ensure we have an accurate headcount for catering and seating. We will be limited to 20 guests.
