SUMMARY:BackPack Beginnings
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a volunteer opportunity with BackPack Beginnings! \nThis great organization feeds our children in Guilford County Schools.  Their mission is to connect children and their families to resources needed to thrive. Serving over 30\,000 children annually\, their vision is a community of healthy children. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization\, founded in 2010\, helping children experiencing hunger and trauma in our community. They serve children in need via almost 200 partners in Guilford\, Forsyth\, and Alamance Counties and their Family Market. They provide tangible basic needs directly to children and families by distributing food\, fresh produce\, formula\, baby food\, comfort items\, hygiene products\, school supplies\, diapers\, clothing\, shoes\, books\, baby accessories\, and baby equipment. \nOur responsibility will be to sort food that will then go out to the schools\, or for emergency assistance backpacks. \nQuestions? Contact Nancy Books at libnab2@gmail.com or Julie Iddings at jiddings2@gmail.com with any questions you may have. \nPlease park on the far side of the building.\nLunch to follow at Country Barbeque.
