BackPack Beginnings

Join us for a volunteer opportunity with BackPack Beginnings!

This great organization feeds our children in Guilford County Schools.  Their mission is to connect children and their families to resources needed to thrive. Serving over 30,000 children annually, their vision is a community of healthy children. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded in 2010, helping children experiencing hunger and trauma in our community. They serve children in need via almost 200 partners in Guilford, Forsyth, and Alamance Counties and their Family Market. They provide tangible basic needs directly to children and families by distributing food, fresh produce, formula, baby food, comfort items, hygiene products, school supplies, diapers, clothing, shoes, books, baby accessories, and baby equipment.

Our responsibility will be to sort food that will then go out to the schools, or for emergency assistance backpacks.
